Two (2) TSS violations were detected in the first six-month sampling period from the Town's monitoring
program.
Brookwood Farms, Inc. did not report any violations through their self-monitoring program for the 2018
year.
Mountaire Farms, Inc.— I.U. 004
Mountaire Farms, Inc. was added to the Town's pretreatment program in 2018. They did not discharge
any process wastewater for the 2018 year.

WASTE REDUCTION INFORMATION
The Town of Siler City participates in several recycling activities. The Town has had a curbside
recycling program including glass, plastic, aluminum, steel cans, corrugated cardboard and
newspaper to Siler City residents and commercial businesses.
The Town also has a loose-leaf collection program for the Town's residents.The leaves are
collected and taken to land owners in the local area to use as compost for their gardens. The
remaining leaves are taken to a private compost facility.
The local industries also participate in several waste reduction activities.
