Stabilization of the dam is to occur on the side of Sutton Lake instead of the wetland/Cape Fear River side. Dam repair will not create any wetland impacts (temporary or permanent). Planned construction methods for repairs are set to be completed from on top of the existing dam instead of having equipment travel through wetlands or open water. Work will be conducted in the existing footprint of the dam to prevent the need for logging or construction mats for equipment to drive on. 2.
