To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in reference to the Coats American Sevier Plant's wastewater permit, Number
NC0004243, effective December 1, 2017. Permit Condition Part 1 A.(4), Total PAHS
(Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) Monitoring, requires the site to conduct quarterly
monitoring for total PAHs for both effluent and instream sampling for all parameters listed in
this section.
In accordance with this requirement, Coats conducted a total of 12 sampling events in 2018,
including 4 effluent samples and 8 instream samples. The samples were analyzed by Gel
Laboratories, LLC, located in Charleston, South Carolina. The total reported concentration of
all the required parameters were less than the detection level of 0.5 ug/L. Upon request,
copies of the laboratory analysis can be provided. A summary of the sampling events is listed
below.
