The existing (Description of Minimization of Water bridge is being replaced with a 50' long cored slab bridge with a 4' deep end bent caps. The proposed roadway will be normal crowned at 4.0% with 10' travel lanes and 4' Quality Impacts) shoulders. The existing bridge structure will be removed. Overall drainage patterns will be maintained. There are roadside ditches that flow towards the bridge on either side of the structure on the downstream end. Proposed ditches and drop inlets were designed to channel flow around the bridge and down to the Branch of Reedy Fork on the downstream side of the structure on both ends. Deck drains will not be required on this bridge to meet spread criteria, all the runoff from the bridge will be captured in the Catch Basin and routed to the floodplain on the upstream side of the bridge.
