WASTE REDUCTION INFORMATION
The Town of Siler City participates in several recycling activities. The Town has a
curbside recycling program including glass, plastic, aluminum, steel cans, corrugated
cardboard, and newspaper to Siler City residents and commercial businesses.
The Town also has a loose leaf collection program for the Town's residents. The leaves
are collected and taken to land owners in the local area to use as compost for their
gardens. The remaining leaves are taken to a private compost facility.
The local industries also participate in several waste reduction activities.
