Main Ave Maiden, NC 28650 Subject: Pretreatment Review of Industrial User Pretreatment Permit Drop & Inactivation of Pretreatment Program Program:Town of Maiden; NPDES#: NC0039594; Catawba County Dear Mr. Hedrick: The Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems (PERCS) Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the request to drop the following Industry from the list of significant industrial users (SIUs) for the Town of Maiden and to change the status of the approved Pretreatment Program from "Active" to "Inactive". This Request was received by the Division on November 28, 2018. I apologize for the late response. i IUP# SIU NAME 001 GKN Driveline The review indicates that the SIU upgraded their pretreatment units to an evaporation unit, thus is no longer discharging to the Maiden WWTP. Therefore, the SIU drop request is approved based on compliance with 15 NCAC 2H .0907(c) and .0903(b) (34). Since the town will not be accepting wastewater from Industrial Users at this time, the Town's request to inactivate the Pretreatment Program is approved. If an industry proposes to discharge wastewater to your WWTP,you must notify the Division, reactivate your Pretreatment Program, and update the major Program elements as necessary. Main Ave Maiden, NC 28650 Subject: Pretreatment Review of Industrial User Pretreatment Permit Drop & Inactivation of Pretreatment Program Program:Town of Maiden; NPDES#: NC0039594;Catawba County Dear Mr. Hedrick: The Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems (PERCS) Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the request to drop the following Industry from the list of significant industrial users (Sills) for the Town of Maiden and to change the status of the approved Pretreatment Program from "Active" to "Inactive". This Request was received by the Division on November 28, 2018. I apologize for the late response. IUP# SIU NAME 1 001 GKN Driveline The review indicates that the SIU upgraded their pretreatment units to an evaporation unit, thus is no longer discharging to the Maiden WWTP. Thank you for your continued cooperation with the Pretreatment Program.
