After a gap period with untrained operator,NC DPS has brought back the previous ORC Geoffrey Pittard (Certificate#: LA 1003310). 2. The facility submitted a late annual report for 2017. 3. The revision to Tract A(removal of 3.8 acres) is due to a new recreational access road needed for the proposed new boat area(Roanoke River) and the proposed new shooting range. 4. Annual non-hazardous determination still required since methyl ethyl ketone was detected in the TCLP analysis for one of the samples collected. It was not detected in the most recent sample collected 8/21/2018.The NC DPS suspects that left-over paint thinner used at the prison was inappropriately dumped down a sink drain.
