Values of GenX seen in finished water at water treatment plants downstream of the Chemours facilities are also seeing a general trend downward but each sampling round has seen a test result above the current DHHS health risk goal of 140 ppt. We are expected to see EPA National Exposure Research Lab test results for other GenX related compounds from the Chemours wastewater discharge and sampling conducted at water utilities above and below the discharge point later in August, 2017. Those results will assist the state in setting NPDES parameters for a draft renewal permit.
