Then, there isanother period oftime related tuthe treatment process. |nthe past, the residence time through the plant was about Ohours. If these values are still fairly accurate, the water being sent out of the Sweeney plant was drawn into the pumping station about J8daysearlier. I don't know if I would consider this a "quotable" estimate, but will give you a rough idea. These samples should just beconsidered snapshots ofthe water conditions atthe time collected. I spoke with Mark Strynar from EPA this morning and he stated that chlorine should have no impact on the results. They did a test using tap water to help confirm this. [FPUA: "We should be careful not to compare raw and finished water levels since the samples were not an attempt to coordinate the timing of flow through the plant. Simply put, we didn't try to sample the same water slug going into the p|antandcomin0outofthep|ant--theravvandhnishedsamp|esw/enejusttakenunthesameday." 8ocould DEQsay the same thing? |nother words, were the finished and raw samples timed sothat wewould belooking at the same water parcels or no?
