Hi Marla and Jamie,
We've gotten a few questions -- as I'm sure you have -- about the PFOA seemingly being released from the
Fayetteville Works site. We'd like to figure out which company is discharging that PFOA, if possible.
First, a question about discharge monitoring reports: Would they indicate a difference between the Chernours,
DuPont and Kuraray streams at the Fayetteville Works site? Or would they only address the totality of the
discharge from the site? Either way, I understand there are likely DXMs available dating back to about 2000.
Either way, I'm interested in reviewing and likely making copies of all DMRs tied to the Fayetteville Works
site. I'm not sure if visiting DEQ's Fayetteville office for a file review or submitting a formal public records
request would be a more efficient way of accomplishing that.
If the former would be quicker, could we please set that review up for sometime early this week? If the latter,
please consider this correspondence a public records request for the aforementioned information under N.C.
Public Records law.
