PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant proposes to place fill
material in approximately one acre of pocosin type wetlands above
the headwaters of Barnards Creek, which have been cleared behind
the Heritage Christian Fellowship Church on N.C. Highway 132.
Fill material will consist of overburden from the widening of
Highway 132 South.
ADJACENT WATER BODY: Barnards Creek
CLASSIFICATION: CSw
The project has been reviewed to determine impacts to water
quality. The following comments have been provided.
1. The project will require a 401 Water Quality Certification.
2. The project complies with the General 401 Water Quality
Certification No. 1272 for Headwater Wetlands.
This office has no objection to the project as proposed.
