Project Summary The applicant proposed to construct a 95' X 6' pier, 20' X 12' T platform, and a 10' X 20' covered boathouse with a leased shellfish bed in the waters of Chadwick Bay. A 9. ? PROJECT DESCRIPTION The applicant currently owns a 1.86 acre parcel of land located within Chadwick Shores Subdivision, Lot #8, Seabird Lane, adjacent Fullard's Creek on Chadwick Bay. A 1,700 square foot single family residence represents the only man-made structure on the tract. A coastal wetland fringe exists along the entire length of the property. The applicant proposes to construct a 95' x 6' pier, 20' x 12' T platform, and a 10' x 20' covered boathouse within the waters of Chadwick Bay. All structures, except for a 6' wide access, will be located completely waterward of the Coastal Wetland fringe. The water depth at the waterward end of the proposed pier is -2.5'. The navigable portion of Chadwick Bay covers a width of approximately 1,000 square feet at the project site. The proposed pier conforms to those existing on the same shoreline. The entire project could be authorized under a CAMA General Permit. However, the bottom of Chadwick Bay at the applicants property is currently leased by Shepard Allen Hill for Oyster Harvest. Mr. Hill has submitted an objection to the proposed project. The adjacent waters are classified SA by the Division of Environmental Management. There appears to be no areas of Archeological/Historical Significance at the project site. 10. ANTICIPATED IMPACTS The proposed pier with attached structures will cover 1,010 square feet of Public Trust Water and Leased Oyster Beds. Submitted by: M.
