This is an announcement for a comment period and an upcoming public hearing for the
proposed surface water reclassification of a segment of the Cape Fear River (Bladen
and Cumberland Counties, Cape Fear River Basin) to Class Water Supply -IV (WS-IV)
Critical Area (CA) and WS-IV Protected Area (PA). Comments on the proposed
reclassification may be submitted in writing, fax, or email anytime through September
15, 2008 to the following:
