Governor Cooper met with local and state environmental nfficials inWilmington 0oannounce water
quality action items for the state of North Carolina. In his plan, Governor Cooper requested a public
health assessment by the CDC to review any long-term health effects and directed the SBI to assess
whether criminal investigation is warranted. In addition, Governor Cooper announced that the state
will deny Chemoum'permit application 0orelease GenX.
