The forum was hosted byClean Cape Fear and Cape Fear Community Federal Update: w DEQ heard from EPA's Office of Research and Development (ORD) regarding continued lab analysis. EPA was asked if they are willing to continue lab analysis for a few more weeks while long-term strategy is determined by DEQ. Originally, EPA asked to analyze samples for four weeks, then six, after samples showed not all discharge of GenXwas eliminated. EPA agreed tosupport sampling analyses for afew more weeks. 0 DEQ to work with EPA to develop contract with a private lab for future testing.
