discharge found inthe monitor reports aoa byproduct of another product.
While gen}{is allegedly "safer" than [8, according to printed it is very likely not.
In addition, and most alarming, C8,which was allegedly mmsetted in2Ol5 byDupont and others, under a
Federal Court settlement and consent order related to, and a direct result of the Parkersburg WV class action
lawsuit and the following;
C8 science panel and the Brnnk000r studies.
$670 million dollar settlement and an additional $250 million dollar in February 2017.
Discharge monitor reports for Kuraray America for 2016ond 20l7show PP[A (C8). Dupont sold this unit
to Kuraray in2O|5.
There were hdiseases agreed to byDupont and plaintiffs that would hcinthe class action settlement. Our
community is voluntarily reporting alarming rates if these diseases in young population.

C8 is a bioaccumulative hormone distruptor. This toxin has been studied with 70,000 plaintiffs for over a 10+
year period. C8 binds to our molecules and never leaves are bodies. Ever. While studies have shown that
99.7% of the population has C8, we, I. The Cape Fear region continue to be poisoned as of today.
There is zero method to remove C8 through filtration. That may be true with genX as well.
Please do not renew the permit for Chemours related to genX. The EPA denied a pen -nit for
discharge. Chemours bus trying to bamboozle NC DEQ into believing it is a byproduct, therefore, okay. It is
poison.
In addition, please issue an injunction to stop Kuraray from discharging a single ounce of the known toxin C8.
Unfortunately, the EPA agreed to the consent order to sunset. By doing so, the EPA stopped short of the
ultimate goal to eradicate this toxin from this Earth. Dupont sold to a company that continues to produce this
toxin. Kuraray was not one if the companies in the voluntary stewardship program. That entire sale us
suspicious and likely to get around EPA enforcement.
