No site visits were performed. 4 1. NCDOT - Lynn Road - Wake County Project #91361 Stream Classification: Drainage to Crabtree Creek of Neuse River Basin - Class C NSW This project is covered by nationwide permit and impacts 0.14 acres of wetlands associated with a bridge replacement. 2. James Evans - Construction - Nash County Project #91359 Stream Classification: Drainage to Cokey Swamp (about 2000 feet separation) Class C NSW - Tar River Basin This project impacts 0.25 acres of wetlands adjacent to a road. Minimal impacts to water quality are anticipated. 3. Central Johnston WWTP - Johnston County Project #91357 Stream Classification: Drainage to Neuse River - Class C NSW r John Dorney Page -2- This project involves construction of WWTP components requiring 0.25 acres of fill. Benefits outweigh the minor impacts and loss of wetlands. .4. Town of Siler City - WWTP - Chatham County Project # 91355 Stream Classification: Drainage of Love's Creek - tributary of Rocky River in Cape Fear drainage basin. Class C. North Catolitia 21803 Reference is made to my letter to you of February 13, 1990, concerning your construction of an automobile tire recycling facility on your property irme'.diately'south of S,R: 1735 near Sharpsburg, Nash County, North Carolina. In that letter, you were advised that your placement of fill material into a x:00-foot by 100-foot wetland area adjacent to the road for construction of the aiaity was authorized by a nationwide permit in our regulations. Reference is so made to your letter of June 19, 1991, in which you stated that you were how proposing to construct a fish market on the proposed 100-foot by 100?foot fill as opposed to a tire recycling facility. E-V otiz proposed placement of fill material into a 100-foot long, 100400t wide wetland area located above the headwaters of an unnamed tributary to Cokey Swamp, for construction of a fish market, continues to be arized by Nationwide Permit No. 26 for the discharge of dredged or fill rial into non-tidal rivers, streams, and their lakes and impoundments r 1 ding adjacent wetlands, that are located above the headwaters and other idal.waters of the United States, including adjacent wetlands, that are n= part of a surface tributary system to interstate waters or navigable wa,ts of the United States. To proceed under this authorization, your work It t:.be accomplished in,strict accordance with the enclosed conditions, Is verification will be valid until the nationwide permit is modified, t ed, or revoked. All nationwide permits are scheduled to be modified, ed, or revoked prior to January 13, 1992. It is incumbent upon you to informed of changes to the nationwide permits. We will issue a public announcing changes when they occur. Furthermore if you commence or At under contract to commence, this activity before the date the nationwide permit is modified or revoked, you will. have 12 months from the date of the modification or revocation to complete the activity under the present terms and.conditions of this nationwide permit. Please be reminded that no ground-disturbing activities (Le, mechanized landclearing, filling, grading, levelling, etc.) may occur within wetlands outside the proposed 100-foot by 100-foot fill area without prior Department of the Army approval.
