HomeMy WebLinkAboutNCG030616_Letters to ARO RE Teir Relief Request_20190103June 28, 2018 NC Environmental Quality DWQ, Regional Office 2090 US 70 Highway Swannanoa, NC 28778-8211 Attention: Landen Davidson Water Quality Regional Supervisor Subject: Decrease stormwater Monitoring General Permit No. COC NCG030616 Morganton Pressure Vessels Marion, North Carolina Dear Mr. Davidson: As required by general NPDES stormwater permit NCG030000, Section B, Tier Three stormwater monitoring exceedance procedures, this is to notify the Department of Water Quality that there have been no exceedances of the Benchmark range of the permit for three consecutive sampling events at Outfall #1 as summarized below: 3/12/2018 0.049 mg/L Zn 4/16/2018 0.021 mg/L Zn 5/18/2018 0.010 mg/L Zn The following corrective action were implemented to achieve compliance with the permit benchmark range: • Increase outside housekeeping activities; • Increase scheduled removal of scrap metal; • Increase minimization of outside storage; • Implement pollution prevention procedures for outside industrial activities; • Shelter long-term outside storage from stormwater; and • Modify the SPPP (BMP's) to reflect these corrective action --------------- 1 ALFREDO �AGLIONI DRIVE, MARION.
