Some background on the project: This is for a renovation of an existing concrete ramp that is in poor condition for the City of Rocky Mount. We are proposing to demo and replace the ramp in the same footprint. discussed this with Samantha Dailey (USACOE).and she confirmed a regional general permit (197800125) for this project (see attached email chain). 'Per our discussion, this is an existing boat ramp in bad shape. We would replace in the same general footprint, removing existing ramp and retaining walls (see picture), replace with a 15` wide ramp with rip rap armor parallel to the ramp. The attached plan sheet (2.0) contains.sorrie additional details. For portions of the ramp that are below the normal water level, the rock ramp base will be prepared using an excavator to place rock in the water to grade. The concrete slab will be poured on high ground and pushed into the water and onto the rock base using a bulldozer. No live concrete will touch the river. Once the lower portion of the ramp has been pushed into place, the remainder of the ramp will be poured in placed on higher ground. Just checking to see what is required in regards to permitting from ACOE. I'm reaching out to NCDEQ in regards to the buffer items.
