HomeMy WebLinkAboutDEQ-CFW_00000331As of July 17, 2017 This calculation workbook was created by C. Ventaloro June 13, 2017 - The calculation on the DHHS Original tab was created using the, exposure factor, toxicity endpoint, and calculation information supplied by Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) staff via email communications with C. Brower. The calculation on this tab results in the same final concentration (70,909 ng/L) that DHHS staff issued as a health advisory on June 13, 2017. Updated by C. Ventaloro. June 13, 2017 - The toxicity information provided on 6/13/2017 was applied to the Groundwater Standards calculation (per 15A NCAC 02L) onn the NC Calcs tab to determine what impact the inclusion of a releative source contributution would have on the final concentration. This was done solely for informational purposes. The situation in the Cape Fear River does not currently involve the contamination of groundwater drinking sources. Updated by C. Ventaloro DHHS calculated concentration for GenX Der email to C. Brower dated June 13, 2017 Exposure factors Body weight = 7.8 1 kg Dose (mg/kg/day) = [(Conc (mg/L) x Intake (L/day))/Body weight (kg)] Drinking water intake = 1.1 L/day intake For concentration, Based on ATSDR exposure factors for bottle fed infants Conc (mg/L) = [(Dose (mg/kg/day) x Body weight (kg))/Intake (L/day)] Concentration = 0.070909 mg/L DHHS issued a health advisory Toxicity endpoint Derived No Effect Level = 0.01 mg/kg/day Based on 2-year study in rats, oral route exposure obtained from 70.90909 ug/L for GenX of 70,909 ng/L on June V European Chemical Registration 70909.09 ng/L 13, 2017
