The four boring in the Neuse River will be performed from a shallowdraft barge launched at the Neuse River access ramp located at 963 Highway 11/55 in Kinston. Work within the river will begin in January 2019 and be completed by February 1, 2019 to comply with the National Marine Fisheries Service sturgeon spawning area moratorium. The remaining borings will be collected using a"marsh buggy". The buggy will access the floodplain from the Highway 55 shoulder. Minimal vegetation clearing will be required.
