This inspection was conducted to determine whether the facility is being operated and maintained in compliance with the State's "Deemed" collection system regulations under 15A NCAC 02T.0403. WWTP ORC, Dale Wike, with Environmental Inc. was present and assisted in the inspection. Mr. Wike does not actively maintain the collection system. This is the responsibility of the Campground staff. There are no manholes and only one small pump station. If not being done so already, the permittee should retain a copy of the system layout and an overview for reporting SSOs should they occur. All maintenance shall be documented and retained for future inspections. Additionally, recommend providing a general system user pamphlet for guests to avoid unwanted items being disposed of at the facility. This is a minor system and consists primarily of lateral lines from each campsite. All lines connect to a central line away from the creek. Your system has a design flow less than 200,000 gallons per day and is therefore classified as a "deemed" collection system. Please review the attached "deemed" rules (02T.0403) for proper operation and maintenance requirements of your collection system. Reporting requirements for sanitary sewer overflows can be found at the following webpage: https://deq.nc.gov/about/divisions/water-resources/water-resources-permits/wastewater-branch/collection-systems/sewer-sy stem-overflow-documents Page:2 Inspection Date: Permit: Inspection Type : Owner - Facility: Reason for Visit: WQCSD0486 12/04/2018 Collection System Inspect Non Sampling J Patrick Kennedy Routine Performance Standards Yes No NA NE Is Public Education Program for grease established and documented?
