AREA. SELECTION OF STABILIZATION METHOD SHALL
BE CONSISTENT WITH THE APPROVED
CONSTRUCTION PLANS. ALL STABILIZATION
MEASURES SHALL BE RECORDED IN THE GRADING
AND STABILIZATION LOG. IT IS THE OPERATORS
RESPONSIBILITY TO UPDATE THIS LOG AND
MAINTAIN IT.
11.1. TEMPORARY STABILIZATION -
TEMPORARY STABILIZATION IS REQUIRED AS
SOON AS PRACTICAL BUT NO MORE THAN 14
DAYS AFTER LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES HAVE
CEASED. COVER SEEDED AREAS WITH AN
APPROPRIATE MULCH TO PROVIDE PROTECTION
FROM THE WEATHER. WHEN THE TEMPORARY
VEGETATION DOES NOT GROW QUICKLY OR
THICK ENOUGH TO PREVENT EROSION,
RE -SEED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. KEEP
SEEDED AREAS ADEQUATELY MOIST. IRRIGATE
THE SEEDED AREA IF NORMAL RAINFALL IS
NOT ADEQUATE FOR THE GERMINATION AND
GROWTH OF SEEDLINGS. WATER SEEDED AREAS
AT CONTROLLED RATES THAT ARE LESS THAN
THE RATE AT WHICH THE SOIL CAN ABSORB
WATER TO PREVENT RUNOFF. RUNOFF OF

I. GENERAL NOTES
1. THE LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ON THE PLANS ARE
PROVIDED FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE CONTRACTOR. THE
ENGINEER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACCURACY OR
COMPLETENESS OF THE UTILITIES INFORMATION SHOWN ON THE
DRAWINGS. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY THE
EXACT LOCATION OF ALL UTILITIES BEFORE CONSTRUCTION. PRIOR TO

4. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO COORDINATE WITH THE ENGINEER TO
STAKE THE LIMITS OF THE STAGING/LAYDOWN AREA. SILT FENCE
SHOULD BE UTILIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BMP HANDBOOK.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL EXISTING STRUCTURES,
STORM DRAINS, UTILITIES AND OTHER FACILITIES TO REMAIN AND
SHALL REPAIR ANY DAMAGES DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AT
NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
6. LIMIT THE TOTAL CLEARING AND GRADING, EXCAVATIONS, AND
OTHER DISTURBANCE TO ONLY THOSE AREAS NECESSARY FOR THE
ORDERLY FLOW OF WORK.
7. CLEARING AND GRUBBING MATERIALS SHALL BE DISPOSED OF OFF
SITE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONTRACTOR OR AS DIRECTED BY THE
CLIENT. RIPRAP MOVED WITHIN THE STREAM CHANNEL SHALL BE
MAINTAINED AND REUSED. BOULDERS RECOVERED DURING CLEARING
SHALL BE MAINTAINED AND REUSED.
8. SUSPEND EARTHWORK WHEN SATISFACTORY RESULTS CANNOT BE
OBTAINED BECAUSE OF RAIN, FREEZING WEATHER, OR OTHER
UNSATISFACTORY CONDITIONS.
9. ROUTE HAULING EQUIPMENT AROUND OR AWAY FROM AREAS OF
SOFT OR YIELDING SUBGRADE.
10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PRESERVE AND PROTECT FROM INJURY
ALL TREES NOT INDICATED TO BE REMOVED. REASONABLE CARE
SHALL BE TAKEN DURING CONSTRUCTION TO AVOID DAMAGE TO
VEGETATION. TREES WHICH RECEIVE DAMAGE TO BRANCHES SHALL BE
TRIMMED OF THOSE BRANCHES TO IMPROVE THE APPEARANCE OF
THE TREE. TREE TRUNKS RECEIVING DAMAGE FROM EQUIPMENT SHALL
BE TREATED WITH A TREE DRESSING. ALL TREE DRESSING AND
REPAIRS SHALL BE PERFORMED BY OR UNDER THE DIRECT
SUPERVISION OF A TREE ARBORIST. ADDITIONAL LIMBING MAY BE
PERFORMED UPON DEMONSTRATION OF NEED AND APPROVAL FROM
ENGINEER. ALL LIMBING PRACTICES SHALL CONFORM TO INDUSTRY
STANDARDS FOR QUALIFIED ARBORISTS AND ARE SUBJECT TO THE
APPROVAL BY THE CITY OR THEIR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE.
11. PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS SHOULD BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND AS INDICATED BY THE PROJECT
ENGINEER.
12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW AND VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS
SHOWN ON THE PLANS AND REVIEW ALL FIELD CONDITIONS THAT MAY
AFFECT CONSTRUCTION. SHOULD DISCREPANCIES OCCUR, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER TO OBTAIN THE
ENGINEER'S CLARIFICATION BEFORE COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION.
13. THE ENGINEER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADJUST THE LOCATION
OF ALL PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS TO MEET FIELD CONDITIONS IF
NECESSARY.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
SHOWING SEQUENCE OF WORK ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 01310 IN THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.
II. CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
THE FOLLOWING SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION IS PROVIDED AS
GUIDANCE FOR COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE ENGINEER WITH A
DETAILED SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION AS PART OF SHOP DRAWING
SUBMITTALS.
1. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING WITH THE
APPROPRIATE UTILITY PROVIDERS FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND
MARKING OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES WITHIN THE LIMITS OF
CONSTRUCTION. UTILITIES LOCATED ON THESE PLANS ARE FOR
PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY.
2. STAKE OUT LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE AN ON-SITE PRECONSTRUCTION
MEETING WITH THE ENGINEER.
4. INSTALL ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES
ACCORDING TO STANDARDS SET FORTH BY THE NCDEQ EROSION AND
SEDIMENT CONTROL PLANNING AND DESIGN MANUAL AND IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS HEREIN.
5. COMPLETE CLEARING, GRUBBING, AND DEMOLITION AS INDICATED ON
THESE PLANS. [RIPRAP MOVED WITHIN THE STREAM CHANNEL SHALL
BE MAINTAINED AND REUSED. BOULDERS RECOVERED DURING
CLEARING SHALL BE MAINTAINED AND REUSED.
6. COMPLETE GRADING AS INDICATED ON THES PLANS.
7. COMPLETE ALL IMPROVEMENTS AS INDICATED ON THESE PLANS
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IN -STREAM STRUCTURES, CULVERT
REPLACEMENT AND REVEGETATION.[ALL IMPROVEMENTS SHALL BE
COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND/OR AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER.
8. COMPLETE FINAL STABILIZATION AS INDICATED ON TH`ESf PLANS.
9. REMOVE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES ONCE FINAL
STABILIZATION HAS BEEN ACHIEVED.
10. REMOVE ALL CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AND CLEAN UP.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE A FINAL CONSTRUCTION
CLOSE-OUT MEETING WITH THE ENGINEER AND ALL APPROPRIATE
PARTIES.
III. SUBMITTALS TO ENGINEER
1. IF IMPORTED FILL IS DEEMED NECESSARY, SAMPLES AND
CERTIFICATION OF THE IMPORTED FILL PER PROJECT SPECIFICATION.
2. IF IMPORTED TOPSOIL IS DEEMED NECESSARY, SAMPLES AND
CERTIFICATION OF THE IMPORTED TOPSOIL PER EXECUTION SECTION.
3. SAMPLE AND CERTIFICATION OF THE FILTER FABRIC PER PROJECT
SPECIFICATION.
4. PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF SEED, SUBMIT ONE COPY OF SEED
ANALYSIS TAG. TAG SHALL STATE SEED NAME(S), MIXTURE, BLEND,
OR VARIETY, LOT NUMBER, ORIGIN OF SEED, EACH VARIETY WITH ITS
ASSOCIATED PURITY, GERMINATION AND TEST DATE, PERCENTAGES OF
CROP, INERT AND WEED, "USE BEFORE" DATE, AMS NUMBER, AND
NET WEIGHT. TAG SHALL COMPLY WITH STANDARDS ESTABLISHED BY
THE OFFICIAL SEED ANALYSIS OF NORTH AMERICA.
5. CERTIFY IN WRITING, WITHIN 30 DAYS OF NOTICE TO PROCEED,
CONFIRMED ORDERS FOR PLANTS AND PROVIDE THE QUANTITY,
LOCATION, TELEPHONE NUMBER, CONTACT NAME, AND ADDRESS OF
THE GROWER WHO HAS AGREED TO PROVIDE ANY PLANT MATERIAL.
6. CERTIFICATES REQUIRED BY LAW SHALL ACCOMPANY SHIPMENTS.
DELIVER ALL CERTIFICATES INCLUDING CERTIFICATE OF NURSERY
INSPECTION TO THE ENGINEER.
IV. MATERIALS
EQUIPMENT AND IN -STREAM WORK
1. EQUIPMENT OPERATING WITHIN THE LIMITS OF CLEARING AND
GRADING SHALL BE OF AN ADEQUATE SIZE TO COMPLETE THE
NECESSARY STREAM RESTORATION OPERATIONS.
2. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVALUATION OF EXISTING SITE
CONDITIONS, INCLUDING AREAS THAT MAY BE CONSIDERED WET,
BOGGY OR OTHERWISE UNSTABLE. WHERE CONDITIONS EXIST THAT

MAY INHIBIT VEHICULAR ACCESS, SUITABLE ACCESS AND STABILIZATION
SHALL BE INSTALLED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S DISCRETION AND UNDER

4. MATERIAL DUMPED WITHIN THE WORK AREA DURING THE TIME OF
THE CONTRACT.
5. WOODY DEBRIS LOCATED IN CHANNEL RESULTING IN FLOW
BLOCKAGES OR ALTERATIONS TO THE CHANNEL GEOMETRY.
6. ALL DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE AND DISPOSED
OF IN AN APPROPRIATE LOCATION AS IDENTIFIED BY THE ON-SITE
ENGINEER. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING

WOODY DEBRIS SALVAGE
1. ALL WOODY MATERIAL GREATER THAN 12" IN DIAMETER WITH A
MINIMUM TRUNK LENGTH OF 12 FEET.
2. TREES TO BE SALVAGED SHALL BE GENERALLY STRAIGHT AND
FREE FROM BOWS.

DURING REPLACEMENT OF PLANT MATERIALS DURING THE WARRANTY
PERIOD.
7. THE SEEDING APPLICATION WINDOW FOR THE SEED MIX SHALL BE
AS OUTLINED IN THE PLANTING PLAN, UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED
BY ENGINEER.
8. OAT SEED WILL BE ADDED TO THE PERMANENT SEED MIX TO
SERVE AS A NURSE CROP FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
PERMANENT SEED SPECIES.
9. GROUND PREPARATION AND SEEDING APPLICATION METHOD SHALL
BE COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH RECOMMENDATION FROM THE
SEED PROVIDER.
BARE ROOTS, LIVE STAKES, AND CONTAINER STOCK
1. ALL PLANT MATERIAL, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, SHALL BE
UNIFORMLY BRANCHED AND HAVE A VIGOROUS ROOT SYSTEM. PLANT
MATERIAL SHALL BE HEALTHY, VIGOROUS, AND FREE FROM DEFECTS,
DECAY, DISEASES, INSECT PEST EGGS, AND ALL FORMS OF
INFESTATION. ALL PLANT MATERIAL SHALL BE FRESH, FREE FROM
TRANSPLANT SHOCK OR VISIBLE WILT. PLANTS DEEMED UNHEALTHY
WILL BE REJECTED.
2. ALL PLANT MATERIAL SHALL MEET THE MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
AND STANDARDS DESCRIBED IN THE CURRENT ISSUE OF "THE
AMERICAN STANDARD FOR NURSERY STOCK".
3. PLANTS WILL BE PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT IN A MANNER THAT
WILL NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BARK, BUDS, BRANCHES, STEMS,
OR OVERALL SHAPE OF THE PLANT.
4. PLANTS WILL BE INSPECTED AND IDENTIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE STANDARDIZED PLANT NAMES PREPARED BY THE EDITORIAL
COMMITTEE OF THE AMERICAN JOINT COMMITTEE ON HORTICULTURAL
NOMENCLATURE. THE ENGINEER MAY INSPECT AND REJECT PLANTS
AT ANY TIME AND PLACE. PLANTS WILL BE INSPECTED IMMEDIATELY
PRIOR TO BEING PLANTED. IF THEY ARE PLANTED PRIOR TO
INSPECTION AND FOUND TO BE UNSATISFACTORY, THEY SHALL BE
REPLACED WITH APPROVED PLANTS AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
5. NO PLANTING SHALL OCCUR WHEN THE SOIL IS FROZEN.
6. NO CHANGE IN THE QUANTITY, SIZE, KIND, OR QUALITY OF PLANTS
FROM THOSE SPECIFIED WILL BE PERMITTED WITHOUT THE APPROVAL
OF THE ENGINEER.
7. WHEN REQUESTING PERMISSION TO SUBSTITUTE, THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL SUBMIT WRITTEN EVIDENCE THAT THE SPECIFIED PLANTS ARE
NOT AVAILABLE AND SHALL SUGGEST SUBSTITUTE PLANTS THAT
CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL INDICATE THE REDUCED COST, IF ANY, THAT WILL
ACCRUE TO THE ENGINEER AS A RESULT OF THE SUBSTITUTION.
THE ENGINEER MAY DELETE PLANTS FROM THE CONTRACT IN LIEU OF
APPROVING SUBSTITUTIONS.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AT LEAST 48
HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERY DATE FOR PLANTS.
A LEGIBLE COPY OF THE INVOICE SHOWING THE KINDS AND SIZES OF
PLANTS IN EACH SHIPMENT SHALL BE FURNISHED THE ENGINEER. A
COPY OF THE CURRENT CERTIFICATE OF NURSERY INSPECTION SHALL
ACCOMPANY EACH SHIPMENT OF PLANTS.
9. REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLES OF EACH SHIPMENT OF PLANTS SHALL
BE LEGIBLY LABELED AS TO THE GENUS, SPECIES, SIZE, AND
QUANTITY OF THE PLANTS. WHEN PLANTS ARE IN BALES, BUNDLES,
BOXES, OR OTHER CONTAINERS, A LEGIBLE LABEL INDICATING THE
GENUS, SPECIES, SIZE, AND QUANTITY OF THE PLANTS SHALL BE
ATTACHED TO EACH CONTAINER.
10. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PLACEMENT OF PLANT
MATERIAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH EACH SPECIES INUNDATION
TOLERANCES.
11. PLANTS NOT INSTALLED ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL ON SITE SHALL
BE STORED AND PROTECTED. OUTSIDE STORAGE AREAS WILL BE
SHADED AND PROTECTED FROM THE WIND AND SUN. PLANTS
STORED ON-SITE SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM ANY DRYING AT ALL
TIMES BY COVERING THE ROOTS WITH MOIST SAWDUST, WET BURLAP,
WOOD CHIPS, SHREDDED BARK, PEAT MOSS, OR OTHER SIMILAR
MULCHING MATERIAL.
12. THE PLANTING WINDOW SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PLANTING PLAN, UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY ENGINEER.
13. THE WARRANTY PERIOD IS DEFINED AS ONE CALENDAR YEAR
AFTER INITIAL PLANT INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE. WARRANTY IS TO
INCLUDE ALL LABOR AND MATERIALS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PLANTING
SPECIFIED ON THE CONTRACT PLANS.
14. THE CONTRACTOR WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR
VANDALISM, THEFT, ATYPICAL WEATHER CONDITIONS OR HIDDEN
PECULIARITIES OF THE WORK AREA DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
15. ALL PLANT MATERIALS MUST BE IN HEALTHY CONDITION AT END
OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
16. REMOVE DEAD AND REJECTED MATERIAL WITHIN FIVE DAYS OF
BEING SO DIRECTED. REPLACE WITH APPROPRIATE NATIVE SPECIES
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
V. EXECUTION
SITE PREPARATION
1. THE ENGINEER SHALL DESIGNATE THE DISPOSITION AND DETERMINE
THE SUITABILITY OF PRODUCTS.
2. STAKE THE LIMITS OF CLEARING AND GRADING PRIOR TO ANY
DEMOLITION, CLEARING, GRUBBING, STRIPPING, OR EXCAVATION HAS
STARTED. ENSURE THAT EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
MEASURES ARE IN PLACE AND THAT SUCH WORK HAS BEEN
APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER. NO CLEARING OR GRUBBING SHALL
BE PERMITTED PRIOR TO APPROVAL OF CLEARING LIMITS AND
IDENTIFICATION OF SPECIMEN TREES TO BE REMOVED/SAVED.
3. MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS OR REVISIONS IN LINE OR GRADES, IF
FOUND NECESSARY AS THE WORK PROGRESSES.
4. LIMIT THE TOTAL CLEARING AND GRADING; EXCAVATIONS; AND
OTHER DISTURBANCE TO ONLY THOSE AREAS NECESSARY FOR THE
ORDERLY FLOW OF WORK.
5. SUSPEND EARTHWORK WHEN SATISFACTORY RESULTS CANNOT BE
OBTAINED BECAUSE OF RAIN, FREEZING WEATHER, OR OTHER
UNSATISFACTORY CONDITIONS.
6. DRAG, BLADE, OR SLOPE THE GRADE TO PROVIDE PROPER
SURFACE DRAINAGE. INSTALL TEMPORARY DRAINS AND DRAINAGE
DITCHES TO INTERCEPT OR DIVERT SURFACE WATER THAT MAY AFFECT
THE PROSECUTION OR CONDITION OF THE WORK.
7. EXCAVATE TO SUCH DEPTH THAT SUFFICIENT MATERIAL WILL BE
LEFT ABOVE THE DESIGNATED GRADE TO ALLOW FOR COMPACTION TO
THE PROPER GRADE. REPLACE MATERIAL EXCAVATED BELOW THE
DESIGNATED LINES WITH APPROVED MATERIALS, IN AN APPROVED
MANNER AND CONDITION, AT NO ADDED COST.
8. ROUTE HAULING EQUIPMENT AROUND OR AWAY FROM AREAS OF
SOFT OR YIELDING SUBGRADE.
9. FURNISH AND MAINTAIN EARTH -MOVING EQUIPMENT IN
SATISFACTORY CONDITION AND OPERATE SUCH EQUIPMENT AS
NECESSARY TO CONTROL SECTION AND SMOOTHNESS OF GRADE.
10. IN-PLACE DENSITY AND MOISTURE CONTENT WILL BE DETERMINED
BY ASTM D-698.
TREE PRESERVATION
1. CLEARLY MARK AND PROTECT THE "CRITICAL ROOT ZONE" (CRZ)
FOR ALL TREES TO REMAIN, WITHIN THE LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION,
AS IDENTIFIED BY THE ENGINEER IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO ANY
CLEARING AND GRUBBING.
2. ERECT SUITABLE PROTECTIVE BARRIERS, SUCH AS SAFETY FENCING,
TO DESIGNATE THE CRZ OF ANY TREE OR STAND OF TREES TO BE
PRESERVED PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBANCE. PROTECTIVE BARRIERS
SHALL REMAIN SO ERECTED THROUGHOUT ALL PHASES OF
CONSTRUCTION. NO GRADE CHANGES OR STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT,
MATERIALS, DEBRIS, OR FILL SHALL BE ALLOWED WITHIN THE AREA
PROTECTED BY THE BARRIER.
3. GRADE CHANGES AND EXCAVATIONS SHALL NOT ENCROACH UPON
THE TREE CRZ EXCEPT AS DESIGNATED ON THE CONTRACT PLANS OR
APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
4. TREE ROOTS WHICH MUST BE SEVERED DURING GRADING AND
EXCAVATION SHALL BE TRIMMED CLEANLY AND COVERED TEMPORARILY
WITH MOIST PEAT MOSS, MOIST BURLAP, OR OTHER MOIST
BIODEGRADABLE MATERIAL TO KEEP THEM FROM DRYING OUT UNTIL
PERMANENT COVER CAN BE INSTALLED.
5. NO CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC, PARKING OF VEHICLES, OR STORAGE
OR DISPOSAL OF LIQUIDS IS PERMITTED WITHIN THE CRZ.
CLEARING AND GRUBBING
1. CLEARING AND GRUBBING LIMITS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AREAS
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF CLEARING AND GRADING NECESSARY TO
FACILITATE STREAM RESTORATION AND RELOCATION.
2. COMPLETELY REMOVE AND STOCKPILE ALL WOODY DEBRIS AND
BOULDERS AND SALVAGE IN MATERIAL STOCKPILE AREA.
3. CLEARING AND GRUBBING MATERIALS DETERMINED BY THE
ENGINEER TO BE UNSUITABLE FOR USE ON-SITE SHALL BE DISPOSED
OF OFF-SITE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONTRACTOR.
STRIPPING
1. STRIP THE TOP 6 INCHES OF TOPSOIL FROM WITHIN THE LIMITS
OF CLEARING AND GRADING, WHERE CHANNEL ALTERATIONS
(MODIFICATIONS TO THE PLAN, PATTERN, AND/OR PROFILE) ARE TO
OCCUR.
2. STOCKPILE SALVAGED TOPSOIL.
COMMON EXCAVATION
1. EXCAVATE TO THE GRADES SHOWN ON THE CONTRACT PLANS OR
AS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, MAKING ALLOWANCE FOR PLACEMENT OF
TOPSOIL TO REACH FINAL GRADES.
2. STOCKPILE COMMON EXCAVATION IN DESIGNATED EXISTING STREAM
CHANNEL FILL AREAS AS SHOWN ON THE CONTRACT PLANS. SHAPE

1. GROUND SURFACES ON WHICH FILL IS TO BE PLACED SHALL BE

MORE THAN 0.10 FOOT FROM THE SPECIFIED GRADE AS SHOWN ON
THE CONTRACT PLANS.
4. RESTORE PREPARED AREAS TO FINISH GRADES IF EROSION,
COMPACTION, SETTLEMENT OR OTHER DISTURBANCE OCCURS PRIOR
