We propose to extend an existing culvert on Little Creek located in the Southwest quadrant of the
intersection of I-40 and Knollwood Street. It is our request that this fill activity be covered
under the General Certification for fill in headwaters (Corp. Nationwide Permit # 26). Enclosed is a
vicinity location map for your convenience.

Culvert Extension, I-40 and Knollwood

Dear Mr. Kale:
Upon review of your request for Water Quality Certification
to place fill material in a wetland area adjacent to Little
Creek, we have determined that the proposed fill can be covered
by General Water Quality Certification No. 2176 issued November
4, 1987. A copy of the General Certification is attached. This
Certification may be used in qualifying for coverage under Corps
of Engineers' Nationwide Permit No. 26.
