A copy of the General Certification is attached. This Certification may be used in qualifying for coverage under Corps of Engineers' Nationwide Permit No. 26. You own a 3.75 acre tract off N.C. Highway 58, across from the Joh Yancy Hotel. The tract is located between the existing golf course and the highway. A small 3,000-square-foot wetland area is located on this property, which is completely surrounded by high ground. Ile would consider this wetland as isolated, which would qualify for the following nationwide permit. For the purposes of the Corps of Engineers' Regulatory Program, Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 330, published in the Federal Register on November 13, 1986, lists nationwide permits. Authorization was provided for activities, work, and discharges undertaken, assisted, authorized, regulated, funded, or financed in whole or in part by another Federal agency or department where that agency or department has determined, pursuant to the CEQ Regulation for the Implementing the Procedural Provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act, that the work is categorically excluded from environmental documentation because it is.inel.uded +*_h{" - -cry c actions which neither individually nor CLmulatively have a significant effect on the human environment. Your work is authorized by nationwide permit provided it is accomplished in strict accordance with the enclosed conditions.
