Dear Mr. Cullipher:
Upon review of your request for Water Quality
Certification to place fill in waters and/or wetlands in
Hull Swamp Creek, we have determined that the proposed fill
can be covered by General Water Quality Certification No.
2177 issued November 4, 1987. A copy of the General
Certification is attached. This Certification may be used
in qualifying for coverage under Corps of Engineers'
Nationwide Permit No. 14.

RE: 401 Water Quality Certification-:Minor Street Crossing
Hillcrest Drive-Brandywine Bay, Carteret County, N.C.
Dear Mr. Mills:
Following up on our telephone conversation, we are requesting a
general water quality certification for a proposed minor street
crossing in which we have received a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Nationwide Permit No. 14.
The proposed fill activity will allow the construction of a
subdivision street. This proposed crossing, is to be culverted with a
48" RCP and does not extend more than approximately twenty-five feet
on either side of the ordinary high water ;nark.
This request is made in accordance with applicable State
Standards and item g. of the Corps Nationwide 14 Permit.
Please find enclosed vicinity map and drawing showing the
proposed location. If I can provide any additional inforlilation for
your review please let me know.
