I hope this finds you well. We're trying to finish up negotiations with the landowner.
Apparently, the Mebane city council approved conceptual plans for the Cates Farm Park.
Part of that plan is a trail system. The plan shows the trail in our easement. What was
decided about that when we were there a year ago? I think that it was generally
frowned upon. Also, below is response from NCDOT about this. Merry Christmas!

I got your name from an email you sent to Chris Bordeaux, formerly of Unique
P11CeS Ori Fri, Apr 22, 2016 at 5:40 PM.
The City of Mebane is desiring to build trails on the Cates Farm property, some of
which could enter or cross the NCDOT Conservation Easements (ref. DB 3371,
Pg. 507-535). These trails would be simple foot paths with limited branch
clearing to facilitate pedestrians. We would like to get written concurrence from
NCDOT regarding this matter and Pm not sure who at NCDOT I need to be
coordinating this effort with. Any guidance you can offer appreciated.
