Mr. Jon Young with the Town contacted Atlas once he discovered that the culvert had been installed. The Town's public works department installed the culvert in order to gain access along the sewer line for maintenance purposes. Atlas staff was on site November 16, 2018 to assess the potential impacts to the unnamed tributary to Dye Creek. The installed culvert is appropriately installed however, some additional work is required to stabilize the road bed upstream and downstream of the culvert. Atlas staff has spoken to Jon Young about installing stabilization measures at the inlet and outlet of the culvert. The diameter of the culvert is adequate to handle storm flows as well as base flow and is at an appropriate angle to allow maximum flow. Current impact at S1 is 21 linear feet. The permit application includes an additional request for 2 additional linear feet at the inlet and 2 additional linear feet at the outlet to allow for installation of headwalls. Enclosed are the necessary permit documents and additional information. Thank you for your attention to the enclosed request. Please contact me if you need any additional information.
