Question 3e: “Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used”
Response:
The intent for this residential development was to reduce site disturbance in an effort to minimize
impacts from grading and infrastructure needs while providing for infill housing in Asheville, NC. In
this effort the owner’s representative was granted approval by the City of Asheville to utilize City of
Asheville Low Impact Road Standards which allows for a smaller ROW and reduces the road width
requirements. Both of which helps keep the homes closer to the road and prevents impacts to the
stream and wetland areas on-site.

Equipment to be used will include typical equipment needed for road construction such as excavator,
motor grader, and roller. Since the site is relatively small for a residential development, smaller
equipment sizes will be used to construct the roads, storm, and sewer infrastructure.
