1. The following restoration activities will be implemented for all disturbed areas located within
the delineated wetlands area at the Former Skeet Range site at Pope AFB, NC.
a. Backfill with soil similar with characteristics to that which is removed.
b. Compact the soils to approximate pre-excavation density.
c. Seed with a mixture of millet and native wetland mixture, then mulch.
d. Inspect periodically to determine establishment of permanent vegetative cover.

Investigate areas in order to fully define the horizontal and vertical extent of lead contamination in soil.

An excavator will position itself over the top of each subarea to be investigated then begin removing soil from one side to
the other to a depth of 0.5 feet. The anticipated maximum depth of removal is 2 feet bgs. If groundwater is encountered,
the excavation will terminate at the water table surface.
