SUBJECT: Notification of Start of Study Activities for STIP No. U-5893, US 3ll/NC 14 (South Van
Buren Rd) to SR 2066 (Kings Highway) in Eden, Rockingham County. Convert at-grade
intersection to interchange. WBS No. 44704.1.1
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is proposing improvements to the intersection
of US 311/NC 14 (South Van Buren Road) and SR 2066 (Kings Highway) in Eden, Rockingham County.
The project is approximately 0.5 miles East/West, Stadium Drive to south of Arbor Lane, and 0.85 miles
North/South, Madison Street to Pierce Street.
We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating potential
environmental impacts of the project and ask that you please respond via email by December 31, 2018.
