Hi Deborah,
An annual payment was made for NCG030612 but BIMS still says the payment is `overdue' and the permit is expired.
The attached PDF is the confirmation email from our online payment system. Can you offer any insight as to why BIMS
didn't register the payment? Thanks for your help.

Deborah,
This permit COC expired, but I also cannot find a fees owed letter in that batch we sent out. I will have to
check into it. (All expired COCs do not populate the issuance date so it cannot be submitted right
now.) However, I'm out of the office the rest of this week.
I've copied my colleague Alaina Morman to check into it for me.
Alaina, could you please check BIMS and verify if all fees are paid up for COC No. NCG030612? We did not
renew this one in the batch for some reason, but apparently we did not send a fees owed letter either. We
might have missed this one (either sending a letter, or renewing it when it was up to date).
I'll circle back on Monday when I return to the office.
Bethany

Deborah,
Letters just started going out last week, so you all will probably get one soon. Please check the website for the latest
update — there's a link there to the website to get the renewal COC and to our repository where you can search for a

The 3tormvxater Permitting Program plans to send out letters to all permittees later this year to explain that there is
nothing to do to request renewal, as long as all annual fees are paid up. There's no further action needed at this time to
The standard conditions of the NCG030000 General Permit do refer to the permittee's obligation to submit an
application to the Division no later than 180 days before expiration to assure compliance and continued coverage, but
that is not the case for General Permits; it's language that really only applies to individual permits. Per INC
Administrative Code (15A NCAC 02h .0127(e)) : "Dischargers covered by general permits need not submit new Notices
of Intent or renewal requests unless so directed by the Division." Corrections to the standard conditions for General
Permits will likely be made as those permits are renewed this year.
Please keep an eye out for the permit renewal explanation letter. You can also check our website or contact me to check
on the status of permit renewal. The Stormwater Permitting Program staff first have to revise the NCG030000 General
Permit itself, send it to EPA for comments, and then put it out to Public Notice for 30 days. Once that's been completed,
they will renew permittees covered under the permit.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Laura Alexander
