PROJECT SUMMARY: Applicant proposes to build a 6' X 18' pier . Suat Basaran Fast Track Bio Report Page 2 SITE EVALUATION The applicant is requesting a Fast Track permit to construct a 6' X 18' pier on Lot T-95. The owner of Lot T-94, James Blakeny, would jointly construct the pier with the applicant along a common property line. The owners of Lot T-98 object to the project, probably due to a misunderstanding of riparian lines. The site is on a cove along a man-made canal. The irregularly shaped lots on the cove have small lengths of waterfront. Based on a projection of riparian lines by DCM staff, the proposed pier would not be within 15 feet of the riparian line of Lots T-93 or T-98. The shore along the canal is bulkheaded, and no coastal marsh is present. ANTICIPATED IMPACT The proposed development will not have a significant impact on navigation. The owners of Lot T-98 will still have ample room to navigate to dockside. CAMA REVIEW The proposed development is consistent with the Dare County LUP and CAMA. rl ? Submitted by: T.
