Single-Family Residence Wastewater Treatment and Surface Irrigation System

Dear Mr. Tippett

Wake County Department of Environmental Services staff, on behalf of the Division of Water Resources,
performed a compliance evaluation inspection of the subject Single-Family Residence Surface Irrigation
System on October 30, 2018 with your assistance. At the time of the inspection the system was not
operational due to a faulty irrigation pump or float control switch. You made repair to the system shortly
thereafter and a follow-up inspection was made on November 19, 2018. Please reference the attached
inspection reports. The system was restored to normal operation after the repair and the inspector made
adjustments to the float tree to prevent reoccurrence of pump failure due to switches stuck in the “PUMP
ON” position. Please monitor your system closely going forward and make any necessary repairs or
adjustments to the spray equipment as necessary to achieve uniform effluent distribution.
