We have submitted concept plans to the Town of Mooresville and their planning staff has requested that we clear the design through NC DWQ and the US Army Corps of Engineers prior to our proceeding with their concept plan approval. The current businesses that use the existing entrance/exit off of NC Highway 150 have found that single driveway to be inadequate for their customers. Gold's Gym has developed a parking area on the rear side of their building and NCDOT has given their concurrence that a right-in- right-out driveway could be added onto NC Highway 150 at that location. Gold's Gym also wants to utilize the space along the new drive for additional parking. We intend on meeting the Town of Mooresville stormwater design regulations and will most likely have a combination of below ground stormwater detention and a raingarden for this increase in impervious area to minimize the impacts to the stream. We propose to impact 139 linear feet of the stream with a junction box, box culvert and riprap apron energy dissipater to extend the existing box culvert that passes under NC Highway 150. The overall site impervious area will remain less than 24%.
