Take a look the email and let me know if you want to discuss. I will be in my temp position through the day on Wednesday so if you want to talk try and catch me in the next couple of days. I have also copied some other stormwater staff on this one so they are aware and can work with you if there are questions. I will probably respond to Jason to let him know that I am forwarding his email to you. I think it would probably be worth the region taking another look at the site to try give them some technical assistance. From the pictures he sent it does look like they installed the v notch weir that Sue suggested to make sure they are getting valid sampling results. Also one picture seems to show some pretty turbid water near the railroad track, so as he mentioned, they have some erosion to deal with. It would probably be good to figure out if the area getting flow even during dry periods. They probably need to evaluate where things are coming from if that is the case. I'll add these emails and the pictures to the LF file. f: From: Jason Greenwood <Jason.Greenwood@us.indorama.net> Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2018 10:20 AM To: Bennett, Bradley <bradley. bennett@ncdenr.gov> Subject: [External] non -discharge form • External email. Do not click links or open attachments unless verified. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to -.. Mr. Bennett, I spoke to you earlier this year about StarPet's Stormwater permit (NCS000354). I have been monitoring out outfall and we have not had a time where the outfall has not been discharging. There is no water coming into our first pond from the plant or site but the pond always is wet and the outfall is always draining. These two pictures are both taken on Sept 13th 2018 (4702 is the discharge from the plant into the first pond and 4707 is the discharge from the second pond, "outfall 1"). Normally I have been able to complete a non -discharge form for the year. I do not believe the outfall has been without discharge this year. Please advise. Our last Stormwater sample came back high TSS (130) . We were putting in fall protection for railcar unloading, Picture 3134 is on the same day as the sample. We contracted Hamlett to put in a draining system at the fall protection and we are going to have them address some erosion coming from the neighbors outfall into StarPet's second pond. Then we will resample to see if it addressed the TSS. Thank you, Jason Greenwood Sr. Technical Manager StarPet Inc.
