Subject: Existing Permits to be rescinded- WQ0028940 & WQ0033385
Dear Mr. Merritt:
The Town of Shallotte currently has two non-discharge permits that we would like to have
rescinded. The permit, WQ0028940, was issued June 24, 2005 for a force main to serve the
Westpark Plaza for a flow of 42,542gpd. The second permit, WQ0033385, was issued
September 19, 2008 for a residential subdivision, Stonecrest Phase 1 with a flow of 12,600gpd.
Since there has been no activity on either site, for more than ten years, the Town feels that it
would be more prudent to tie up that sewer allocation on an active project.
