The adjacent area contains soine delineated wetland areas. Wilmington 5urveying City of Washington (Water) The eXisting underground water main along the we�st side of US 17 Business is in conflict with the proposed new bridge and inust be relocated. The City of Washington will install a new water inain along the west side of US 17 business. To rediice wetland impact, the water main will be installed by di�•ectional drill. Boi-e pits will be required at the begimling, the end of the project, a»d on each side of the railroad right of way where the new water main crosses. These bore pits will require excavation, and permanent fi11 in the wetlands. Excavation and fill has been reduced as much as possible and will be confined to t11e bore pits. The City of Washington has investigated all availaUle options for their water relocation and have chosen the alignrnent that rninimizes enviromnental impacts. City of Washington (Sewer) The existing underground FSS sewer main along the west side of US 17 Business is in conflict with the proposed new bridge and must be relocated. The City of Washington will install a new FSS sewer main alon� the west side of US 17 business. Duke Energy (Power) The existing Dukc Energy power poles will be replaced with taller poles in tl�eir curre�lt location. CenturyLink will install new telephone cables along the west side of US 17 Business approximately 5' outside the existing right-of-way. The new telephone cables will be bored under the railroad and tied back into the existing telephone manholes in the west shoulder US 17 Business. There will be no environmental impacts from the telephone relocation work. Suddenlink (CATV) The existing overhead CATV lines are attached to the Duke Energy poles. The overhead CATV will move to the new Duke Energy poles. There will be no environmental impacts from CATV. s �ETHERILL
