HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-11-13 - Public Notice - U-2579DEF - Forsyth County.pdfNCDOT TO HOST A PUBLIC MEETING IN NOVEMBER FOR THE PROPOSED WINSTON-SALEM NORTHERN BELTWAY EASTERN SECTION (FUTURE 1- 74) PROJECT U-2579 SECTIONS D, E, AND F BETWEEN UNIVERSITY PARKWAY AND NEW WALKERTOWN ROAD FORSYTH COUNTY STIP Project No. U-2579 D, E, And F The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to construct the Eastern Section of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway (Future I-74), Projects U-2579 Sections D, E, and F. Project U-2579D would be constructed between U.S. 311 and I-40 Project U-2579E would be constructed between I-40 and I-40 Business/U.S. 421. Project U-2579F would be constructed between I-40 and I-40 Business/U.S. 421. The public meeting will be held at Bethany Baptist Church located at 600 Old Hollow Road, in Winston-Salem, on Tuesday, November 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to provide interested citizens with updated information on the project and gather public input. Interested citizens may attend at any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please note that there will not be a formal presentation. Representatives of NCDOT and the design-build team of Flatiron Constructors, Inc — Blythe Development Company will display maps and be available to answer questions and receive comments. Comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops. Written comments or questions can also be submitted at the meeting or later by November 27, 2018.
