This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non -discharge Permit No. WQ0000165. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report". There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this inspection report is not required. The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. WQ 0000165. A) File Review (2016-2018) Effluent parameters: The NDMR file review showed several total nitrogen violations in 2016 and 2017 [October 2016 through February 2017, in March 2017 (TN=9.31 mg/1), and April 2017 (TN=12.3 mg/I); (2) fecal coliform violations (daily max limit) in June and August 2017. No BOD or TSS violations in the period. Groundwater Quality: A review of the GW-59's records indicate sporadic exceedances of the 2L groundwater quality standards. • Nitrate- one nitrate exceedance (November 2016: 24.73 mg/1) • TDS- four TDS exceedances (2 in 2016 and 2 in 2017, slightly above the 2L std of 500 mg/1) B) Site Inspection The site inspection was conducted on August 13, 2018. The Division appreciates Mr. Lee Buck for his time and assistance during the site inspection. The facility looks well maintained and operated. Alarms were functional and effluent was clear and odorless. Refer to each section of the report for additional comments. It seems that past problems related with TN and fecal coliform violations have been resolved. The Division appreciates contacting us (Helen Perez, compliance reviewer- 910 796 7323) for non -compliances issues that the facility could experience. Also, the Wilmington Regional Office WWTP Wastewater Consultant (Tom Tharrington) can provide support if operational problems arise.
