6cploratory geotechnical borings to aid in designing a replacement for the aging bridge.

Approbmately 10- 4" borings will occur in the Neuse River via barge and approbmately 24- 4" borings will occur in wetlands. Drilling will commence after permit approval and likely be
finished by the end of December 2018.
A barge and amphibious/marsh buggy will be utilized as follows:
• Wildlife Access ramp utilized to launch barge, approximately 10 borings in the river channel. Marsh buggy will be used to access end bents and proposed walls adjacent to the
channel.
• Cranes will be used to lower the equipment into some areas.
