A review has been conducted of the Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) 5-Day Report(s)
submitted by the City of High Point for the month of August 2018. This review has shown
the City of High Point to be in violation of the requirements found in the WQCS00010
collection system permit and/or North Carolina General Statute 143.215.1(a)(1). The
violations are summarized below:

actions for SSOs on volume spilled, volume reaching surface waters, duration, gravity,
impacts to public health, fish kills, and other factors. DWR may pursue enforcement action
for these and/or any additional violations of the WQCS00010 collection system permit. If
violations are of a continuing nature, not related to operation and/or maintenance issues,
and you anticipate remedial construction activities, then you may wish to consider
applying for a Special Order by Consent (SOC).
