Dear Scoping Participant:
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Division 9 has started the project
development, environmental, and engineering studies for U-6079. The project is included in the approved
2018-2027 NCDOT STIP with right-of-way in iiscal year (FY) 2025 and construction in FY 2027.
We are now requesting any information or comments you have that would be helpful in the evaluation of
potential environmental impacts. If applicable, please identify any permits or approvals that might be
required by your agency. Your comments will be used in the preparation of a State Minimum Criteria
Checklist, which will be prepared in accordance with the North Carolina State Environmental Policy Act
(NC SEPA). Please provide your comments by October 12, 2018, or as soon as possible after that date, so
that your comments can be used in the preparation of this document.
The Internal Scoping Meeting was held on January 26, 2018. At present, there are no plans to hold a formal
external project scoping meeting with agency representatives. If you would like to request additional
information and/or arrange a meeting, please notify the following project representatives:
