Reference is made to your request for rescission of the subject Groundwater Remediation Permit.
Staff from the Winston-Salem Region Regional Office has confirmed that this permit is no longer
required. Therefore, in accordance with your request, Groundwater Remediation Permit No.
WQ0029191 is rescinded, effective immediately.
If, in the future, you again wish to operate a groundwater remediation system, you must first apply
for and receive a new Groundwater Remediation Permit.' Operating a groundwater remediation
system without a valid permit will subject the responsible parry to a civil penalty of up to $25,000 per
day.
