shoreline an average of 2' waterward of NWL.

SITE REPORT
Mr. Dennis Tromba, agent for the landowner, Mrs. Ellen
Tripp, proposes to construct a bulkhead (100' in length),.at
728 Kitty Hawk Bay, Colington Harbor, Dare County.
Upland vegetation consisted of a variety of lawn grasses,
Virginia creeper (Partenocissus spp.) fig tree,.honeysuckle
(Lonicera japonica), catbriars (Smilax spp.), bulrush (Scirpus
spp.) and salt meadow grass (Spartina patens).
Coastal marsh consisted of only one species, cat-tails
(Typha sp.), which was present along approximately 30 feet of
shoreline.. Applicant proposes to bulkhead landward of this
coastal marsh.
ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
The proposed bulkhead will result in the loss of
approximately 200 sq. ft. of shallow water habitat. Some
localized, short-term turbidity will occur during construction,
The bulkhead will be constructed landward of any significant
wetland plant species.
CAMA REVIEW
The proposal is consistent with the transition
classification as identified in the Dare County LUP.
