The only trees 3" diameter or larger that are planned to be removed are the leaning/damaged trees that are noted. 2. 1 am hoping that only 2 access corridors will be needed and we can only disturb the area the rip rap is going to be placed. However I did revise page 3 of 3 to show a 3rd access corridor. It is attached to this email. 3. We are not going to grade the shore line. 4. Only 3 trees are planning to be removed. 5. Would like to remove the root balls. 6. We plan on a layer of wood chips with a cover layer of pine needles. If you need anything else or I need to submit any more documents please let me know to continue the application. The Division has determined that your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on hold until all of the following items are addressed: 1. Will any trees 3 inches or larger be removed from the 2 proposed access corridors through the 50 foot Catawba Buffer? 2. Please clarify if there will be an additional access corridor along the length of the shoreline to apply rip rap. 3. Do you propose to grade the shoreline to a gentler slope in any locations? 4. Any tree with a diameter of 3 inches or larger that is removed from the buffer must be replaced. Does this change your current total of 3 trees proposed for removal? 5. The 3 damaged trees you are proposing to remove appear to have partially upended root balls. Will you be removing the root balls or just removing the trees? 6. How do you intend to stabilize disturbed areas on the bank above the shoreline after rip rap has been applied? Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502(e), the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the proper consideration of the application.
