No Yes — consistently fails chronic WET test [sodium ion - exchange (IE) treatment]. Zero -flow conditions at outfall (no credit for dilution). RPA — concludes metals to be limited equal to standards; the Any obvious compliance concerns? Permittee may consider changing treatment technology, or to receive dilution credit, extend the outfall into the lake, fitting the outfall with a modeled effluent diffuser. Renewal adds compliance periods for metals limits (5 years) and for Total Chlorides (3 years), and Composite Sampling one year). See section A. 1. footnotes and section A. (3.). Any permit mods since last permit? No Current expiration date March 31, 2018 New expiration date March 31, 2023 UPDATED BIMS DATA REVIEW / CHANGES TO THE DRAFT PERMIT: 1. DWR's re-examination of the corrected database (downloaded 04Sep2018) suggests a wasteflow average of 0.00372 MGD. Unlike the previous, this average (< 0.030 MGD) suggests that a composite sampler is not required [NCAC 2B.0505 (c)]. Therefore, DWR will delete language requiring a composite sampler, as detailed in cover letter and DRAFT Special Condition A. (3). 2. Reasonable Potential Analysis RPA) — Updated, corrected databases (thru sep2018) continue to show reasonable potential to exceed each respective surface water -quality standard for copper, zinc, lead, chloride, and manganese (See attached RPA). No changes from permit draft recommended. Page I 1
