(1) The project will be conducted in strict accordance with the permit plat. NOTE: Prior to bulkhead construction, the alignment must be staked by a represen- tative of the Division of Coastal Management in order to prevent a violation of this permit. (2) The activity will be conducted in such a manner as to prevent significant increases in turbidity outside the area of construction or construction- related discharge. NOTE: The proposed project is certified under General Water Quality Certifi- cation No. 1272 issued on November 10, 1978, for bulkhead construction. This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work initiation or continuance, as the case may be. This permit must be accessible on-site to Department personnel when the project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification not covered hereunder requires further Departmental approval. All work must cease when the permit expires on December 31, 1990 In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. Located on the property is a single served by a septic tank sewage disposal system. Of this 375', + 145' will be constructed 2' waterward of the existing deteriorated bulkhead, + 130T will be constructed along an eroding shoreline + 2' waterward of the normal water level, and + 100' will be constructed along a -drainage ditch.
