RE: Rescission of State Permit No. WQ0011866
Wheelabrator Cobb, Inc. Pelletizing Facility
Distribution of Class A Residuals in the State of North Carolina
Cobb County, Georgia
Dear Ms. Kraus:
The Division received your request dated June 25, 1997, to rescind the subject permit. The
request states that no product was ever distributed in North Carolina from the Cobb County facility, and
that the facility is no longer a Wheelabrator project. Furthermore, Cobb County will no longer be
pelletizing biosolids for distribution.
In accordance with the submitted request, Permit No. WQ0011866 is hereby rescinded, effective
immediately.
If a future residuals distribution permit is again determined to be necessary, application must be
made for a new Non -Discharge Permit. Distribution of wastewater residuals in North Carolina without a
valid Non -Discharge Permit may subject the violator to a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per day.
If there is a need for any additional information or clarification, please contact Mr. J. Ray Cox at
(919) 733-5083 extension 541.
