(1) The proposed pier extension and boat house must be built in strict accordance with the attached project plans. (2) The activity must be conducted in such a manner as to prevent significant increases in turbidity outside the area of construction or construction-related discharge (increases of 25 NTUs or less are not considered significant). This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. An appeal requires resolution prior to work initiation or continuance, as the case may be. This permit must be accessible on-site to Department personnel when the project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification not covered hereunder requires further Departmental approval. All work must cease when the permit expires on December 31 1990 In issuing this permit, the. Project summary The applicant proposes a 48' long pier extension and a 24' by 15' open sided boathouse. 21 Environmental setting The applicant owns a 115' long by 50' wide lot at Bayview on the Pamlico River. Located on the lot is a single family dwelling which is served by a septic tank sewage disposal system. Also located on the property is a 120' long pier. The property is not bulkheaded, and no wetland vegetation is present. Project proposal The applicant is proposing to extend the existing pier by 48' and construct along- side it a 24' long by 15' wide open sided boathouse.
